Getting started — French by default

French by default — 9 languages available.

Software in French,for French-speaking teams.

At Hostik, French isn't an option buried in the settings — it's the default language. Your housekeepers read their first task in French, your managers create their account in French, and your guest page shows in French. And when an international team arrives, eight other languages are already ready.

On the floor

Three moments where speaking French changes the day.

Foreign software translated in a hurry adds a thousand small snags: clumsy phrasing, American date formats, buttons that ring hollow. Hostik is written in French first — every other language starts from there.

01/03

A housekeeper who doesn't speak English

The new housekeeper picks up the app on her phone. Everything is in French: the task, the photo, the sign-off, the check-list. No machine-translated screenshots, no "Save" buttons next to "Sauvegarder". She is effective on her very first room, with no language training.

02/03

A manager discovering the tool

The manager of a Parisian hotel creates an account. The whole admin screen is in French — assignment rules, key figures, accounting exports, night-cap tracking (Paris, 90 days). Everything in the working language, with no robotic sentences.

03/03

A guest page in the right language

The room's QR code spots the language of the guest's phone and switches between French, English, Spanish, Portuguese (from Portugal or Brazil), German, Italian, Arabic or Romanian. The guest reads instructions, reports an issue, requests a service — in their own language.

How it works

Four choices that make French truly natural.

Multiple languages weren't bolted on afterwards — they're part of the foundations. A clear list of languages, French by default, Arabic that reads right to left, and the two Portuguese kept apart.

01 / 04

French by default

When nothing indicates which language to use, Hostik shows French. It's a deliberate choice made in April 2026, not a technical fallback. Every new piece of text is written in French first, then translated.

02 / 04

Nine languages, including right-to-left Arabic

French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Italian, Arabic and Romanian. Portuguese from Portugal and from Brazil are handled separately, because the vocabulary differs. In Arabic, the whole page flips automatically to read right to left.

03 / 04

The right language AND the right region

A Brazilian guest sees Brazilian Portuguese, not Portugal's — and the other way around. Hostik looks not only at the language but at the region too, to avoid that kind of mismatch.

04 / 04

The right scope for each language

The showcase site is in French and English — the languages of people discovering Hostik. The tool your teams use every day offers all nine. Each audience is served in its language, with nothing wasted.

Versus other tools

Hostik offers French. Most others don't.

Many tools in the field offer English, Spanish, German, Croatian, Slovenian, Serbian or Portuguese — but not French. For a team in France, Belgium, French-speaking Switzerland, Quebec or North Africa, the difference is clear-cut.
